The Möllenvogtei
Over 700 years of city history, tucked away behind the old walls by the cathedral.
The Möllenvogtei is one of the oldest historic sites in Magdeburg. As early as the Middle Ages it was the seat of the archbishop's bailiff and the administrative center of the cathedral immunity district. Historic walls, the garden and the city gate still bear witness to more than 700 years of the city's history.
The idyllic garden, hidden behind the old city walls at the Remtergang, is one of the oldest surviving gardens in the city and makes a unique setting between history, nature and culture.
